Through the ‘Plan for Jobs’ agenda to kickstart the economy, the government have committed to providing thousands of new traineeships to get young people aged 16 to 24 (up to 25 for those with an Education, Health and Care Plan) in England into work.
What is a Traineeship?
A traineeship is a skills development programme that includes a work placement of a minimum of 70 hours, employability skills, basic skills development that included English, maths and digital skills. The duration of the programme can be anywhere from 8 weeks up to 12months.
Here at Professional Training Solutions, we are providing an 8-10 week learning programmes which includes:
- vocational training tailored to the sector the young person is interested in
- a minimum work placement of 70-hour work placement
- employability support via an accredited qualification
- basic skills support for English, maths and digital skills
Employers that offer a high-quality work placement will receive an incentive of £1,000 per trainee (limited to 10 per employer, per region), this is paid directly by the Government. We hope that through our Traineeship Programme learners will progress onto a Kickstart work placement, an apprenticeship or sustainable employment.
