Following retirement from corporate life become MD of his own company spending several years in the Financial services sector in derivative trading & training.

With responsibility for the full curriculum and training programme within Professional Training Solutions, as well as quality and working with our awarding bodies and clients, Sharon is a qualified and experienced tutor and trainer as well as an Early Years Professional. Sharon writes and designs all our programmes ensuring they are of the highest quality, something we pride ourselves in.

Neil Hardie
Director
With over 25 years of successfully managing small businesses, Neil oversees the finance & IT of Professional Training Solutions ensuring the business remains efficient & profitable. Managing the complexities of government funding is a real challenge, and one we embrace whilst trying to meet the needs of our clients. Neil has also overseen the implementation of a range of new systems & processes over the last few years as we evolve with technological change.

Dee Hughes
HR Executive/EA to MD
Dee brings extensive experience as an EA/Office Manager, having worked extensively in the legal sector. She provides executive support to the Managing Director. Additionally, Dee oversees the HR provision at PTS, managing HR-related tasks and ensuring compliance with company policies.
With a proven track record in managing complex executive diaries, coordinating travel, and managing HR functionality.

Alex Collins
Bookkeeper
5Alex is our bookkeeper with responsibility of managing the day-day accounts for the business, to ensure everything is both accurate and recorded. Alex is currently studying for his chartered accountancy exam.

Zoe Rolfe
Childcare Programme Manager
Zoe is a highly experienced professional in the Early Years sector, bringing over 30 years of expertise to her work. Beginning her career as a Qualified Nursery Nurse, Zoe has built a diverse and impressive portfolio across various roles, advancing from Nursery Nurse to Director & Operations Manager. Throughout her career, she has managed acquisitions, launched new nursery settings, and successfully led teams in delivering exceptional early childhood care and education.
Zoe’s leadership extends to her work with training and professional development, having overseen an Internal Cache-registered Training team. In this capacity, she supported the successful delivery of Level 2 and Level 3 childcare qualifications, as well as Continuous Professional Development (CPD) opportunities for practitioners in the field. Additionally, Zoe is passionate about fostering the growth of apprenticeships and guiding the next generation of Early Years professionals on their career pathways.

Chantelle Byng
Health & Social Care Programme Manager
Chantelle has over 25 years of experience in Health & Social Care, both hands-on and within the training and Apprenticeship sector and she is a qualified and experienced Trainer, Assessor, IQA and Apprenticeship Manager. Chantelle is responsible for overseeing the Health & Social Care team, whilst supporting employers and learners to succeed in their learning journey.

Amanda Main
Functional Skills & Business Programme Manager
As a qualified teacher and English and Maths GCSE Tutor, Amanda is a key member of our team ensuring our learners have the required literacy, numeracy and ICT skills for them to do their jobs, as well as meeting the requirements of the Apprenticeship programmes for functional skills.

Sam Cary
MIS Enrolment Manager
Sam works closely with all departments across PTS to ensure compliance in all areas. She works closely with Gary in MIS Management and her day-to-day tasks include; carrying out audits, maintaining our funding records and ensuring compliance for all apprentices and employers.

Emon Ambia
Data & compliance Coordinator
Emon is responsible for developing reports for various teams within PTS and supports with reconciliation. Previously, Emon worked for several training providers and FE Colleges and has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in the sector relating to funding and compliance across multiple streams.

Sabbir Meah
Data & Compliance Team Leader
Sabbir joined Professional Training Solutions as our Data & Compliance Team Leader. Sabbir is responsible for producing reports, monitoring, and evaluating learner and employer surveys, whilst supporting Business Admin with day-to-day tasks.

Nathan Smith
Examinations & Bookings Administrator
Nathan is the Examinations & Bookings administrator here at Professional Training Solutions. Nathan is responsible for the management of the examinations entry and preparation process along with the management of examinations results, as well as the day-to-day running of the office.
Nathan has worked in the education sector for the past 5 years as a Business Support Assistant and brings excellent knowledge and skills to the role here at Professional Training Solutions.

Tamsin is the first point of contact for employers looking to recruit and candidates looking to enrol onto an apprenticeship with Professional Training Solutions. She offers the information, advice and guidance for all apprenticeships and then guides the learner through the onboarding process. All whilst upholding the highest level of accuracy and compliance for paperwork.
Tamsin’s previous experience in educational admissions means she has worked in both the recruitment and enrolment sectors allowing her to bring her expertise across the board to her role here at PTS.

Alexandra Sawyer

Alexandra is the Marketing and Engagement Apprentice. Alex is the first point of contact for all enquiries and is part of the marketing team, focusing on boosting audience engagement and enhancing brand awareness.
Her daily responsibilities include assisting with social media, creating content (such as print materials and social media posts), representing the company at job fairs and events, developing Ads, and updating our website (via WordPress).17

With 20 years of experience in the training and education sector, Angela has built a strong reputation in assessment, internal quality assurance (IQA), and quality leadership and management. Throughout her career, she has been dedicated to maintaining the highest standards in assessment practices, ensuring compliance, consistency, and excellence in learner outcomes.
Angela collaborates closely with the Quality Manager to uphold and enhance the quality assurance framework within the organization. Her expertise in assessment methodologies, regulatory requirements, and continuous improvement strategies allows her to drive best practices and support the professional development of assessors and trainers.

After completing my Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education, I began my journey as a Learning Support Assistant in an infant school. During this time, I gained valuable experience working with children with various Special Educational Needs and had the opportunity to take on the role of SENCO.
I then transitioned to becoming a private nanny while simultaneously running a crèche facility, further developing my expertise in early childhood care. My passion for working with nursery-age children became evident when I joined a nursery senior team, where I discovered my true calling in early years education.
Inspired by these experiences, I felt a strong desire to support and guide others in the field, helping them develop their skills and succeed in their careers. Becoming an Assessor was a natural progression, allowing me to combine my industry knowledge with my passion for training, coaching, and mentoring the next generation of early years professionals.

Sharon Jenner

Sharon’s role as Tutor Assessor is to support learners to achieving their level 3, 5 diplomas in Residential childcare, as well as the apprenticeships CHILDREN, YOUNG PEOPLE AND FAMILIES’ MANAGER level 5 and CHILDREN, YOUNG PEOPLE AND FAMILIES’ PRACTITIONER. level 4.
Sharon works closely with learners, their line managers and the delivery team, headed up by Chantelle Byng to deliver an excellent service that supports learners to achieve the expected qualifications.

Jack has over 10 years’ experience in Health and Social Care, bringing a wealth of experience in the sector. Jack has been an Assessor in Residential Childcare for 3 years and looking to develop his resume in the Adult Social Care Qualifications. He is also qualified at Delivering Training as well as relevant qualifications in Health and Social Care.

Marilyn Cambridge

I am a qualified Assessor/Tutor and IQA in Health and Social Care with over 18 years’ experience. 27I have worked in the sector for many years where I have over 26 years’ experience supporting adults with learning disabilities and who exhibit challenging behaviour, starting as a care worker and progressed to unit manager for adults within supported living. I am passionate about supporting people to grow and achieve their full potential allowing them to progress within the care sector.

Sophie Izzard

I hold a BA (Hons) in Special Educational Needs and have also completed my Level 3 qualifications in Childcare and Health & Social Care. With eight years of experience in the education sector, I have worked extensively in Special Needs Schools and Early Years settings, including three years in management. These roles have allowed me to develop a strong understanding of inclusive education, child development, and leadership within educational environments.
One of my greatest passions is supporting staff in reaching their full potential, enabling them to deliver high-quality education that enhances the learning and development of the children in our care. I take pride in mentoring and guiding teams to create inclusive, stimulating, and supportive learning environments where every child can thrive.
Building on my experience and commitment to professional development, I am now embarking on the journey to become an assessor and trainer. This will allow me to share my knowledge and expertise with the next generation of educators, equipping them with the skills, confidence, and best practices needed to excel in their roles. By training and assessing future practitioners, I aim to contribute to raising standards in education and childcare, ensuring that children receive the best possible support from well-trained and passionate professionals.

Matilda Nartey

I am a qualified teacher and have taught the primary curriculum for over 10 years. I have worked in a range of settings: maintained, independent, SEN. More recently I have been delivering Functional Skills to apprentices and adult learners which has been so rewarding. I am proud of my ability to engage students with learning and aim to make lessons active and encouraging. I adapt each of my sessions according to the needs of each learner by building their confidence through providing subject knowledge and the opportunity to develop their skills.

I have a diverse background that includes youth work, forensic units, mental health, and adult care for individuals with learning disabilities. This experience has given me extensive knowledge in supporting vulnerable individuals. I have managed homes for adults with learning disabilities and challenging behaviours, and I have also worked in educational settings, supporting children with behavioural challenges. With over 25 years in social care, my passion lies in helping learners achieve success and progress.

Able to assess, QA and teach in Health and Social Care, Management, learning & development, Employability, Safeguarding & Prevent, Mental Health, Equality and Diversity, Spectator Safety and Lean Management Techniques.
Previously worked as a NVQ coordinator, Apprenticeship Manager, Head of Apprenticeships. Currently work as director for G & R Group, coordinator of training for the JGA Group and management consultant for Professional Training Solutions.
