What made you decide to enrol on the Level 3 Certificate in the Principles of Special Educational Needs, and what were you hoping to achieve?
“I decided to enrol on this course because I wanted to understand more about special educational needs and how to support children better. I was hoping to gain knowledge and confidence so I could help individuals with different needs in the right way.”
What key skills or knowledge have you gained throughout the course?
“During the course, I learned about different types of special educational needs and how they can affect people. I also gained skills in communication, understanding behaviour, and how to support individuals in a more patient and caring way.”
How has the course supported you in your current role or future career plans?
“The course has helped me feel more confident in supporting people with additional needs. It has also given me useful knowledge that I can use in my current role and will help me in my future career, especially if I work in education or care.”
Was there a particular topic or area of the course that you found especially interesting or impactful?
“I found learning about different conditions, like autism and learning difficulties, very interesting. It helped me understand how people experience things differently and how I can support them better.”
How has your understanding of supporting individuals with special educational needs developed since completing the course?
“My understanding has improved a lot. I now know that everyone has different needs and should be supported in a way that suits them. I have become more patient, understanding, and aware of how to help individuals feel comfortable and included.”
