Functional Skills helps you to learn Maths and English in practical ways with questions using real-life examples and situations. The most popular reason for choosing this course is if you need an English GCSE to apply for a specific job, promotion, university access, enrolling on to an apprenticeship, improving own skills and confidence or helping children with homework. You may need to work through the different levels to get to the desired level 2.

Delivery Model
Our programmes generally have a blended approach with a mixture of face to face sessions and remote delivery.
Eligibility criteria
With funding from the Greater London Authority, these courses are free for London residents. Additional eligibility criteria apply.
Learners must:
- be aged 19 or over
- have the right to live, work, and remain in the UK (settlement status).
- not be enrolled onto another government course
