In Greater London, professionals dedicated to working with children and young people in social care settings can access the fully funded Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People’s Workforce. You will be assessed through a portfolio of evidence, allowing you to demonstrate both your knowledge and how you apply your learning within your professional role. Your portfolio may include written work and evidence from your workplace, with support and guidance from your tutor throughout the course.
Upon successful completion, you will achieve the Level 3 Diploma for the Children & Young People’s Workforce.
Week 1 – Submit Your Enquiry
Submit your enquiry form and a member of our team will give you a call to talk you through the course and answer any questions you may have. You will then be sent a Course Registration Form to complete.
Week 2 – Application and Tutor Support
Our Enrolment Team will process your application and ask you to complete an application form. Once enrolled, you will be assigned a tutor who will support you throughout your course and can be contacted by phone, text or email.
Months 2–18 – Complete Your Diploma
As you work through your Diploma, you will receive email reminders when your units are due. Your tutor will regularly provide feedback on your work and support you throughout the course, helping you to stay on track with your learning and progress.
You will also have regular communication and 1-1 sessions with your tutor throughout your Diploma, giving you the opportunity to discuss your learning, review your progress and receive additional support when needed.
Completion – Receive Your Certificate
Once you have successfully completed your course and all required assessments, we will apply for your certificate. Your certificate will then be posted directly to your home address, usually within 2–4 weeks.

Learners can be unemployed to complete our short courses, however Level 2 Mental Health in Early Years and Level 2 Adverse Childhood Experiences must be done in the workplace.
Eligibility is subject to individual circumstances and will be confirmed as part of the enrolment process.
This course is fully free for eligible adults aged 19 and over living in London or Buckinghamshire, funded through the Adult Skills Fund. Funding is generally available to people who are unemployed or on a lower income and is subject to residency and eligibility checks when you enrol.
This is a nationally recognised qualification for people working with children and young people across childcare, education and support settings. It covers development, safeguarding, communication, equality and inclusion, positive behaviour, partnership working, health and safety and the skills needed to promote positive outcomes for children and young people.
This qualification is suitable for people working in childcare, education, youth work or children’s support services who want to develop their professional skills and competence. Learners must be employed in or have access to a suitable setting working directly with children and young people to complete the practical assessment requirements.
The qualification can support progression into roles including Childcare Practitioner, Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Family Support Worker, Senior Practitioner, Room Leader and Specialist Support Worker. Learners can also progress to Level 4 qualifications, leadership programmes, relevant apprenticeships and other higher level training within childcare, education and children’s services.
Most learners complete the qualification within 12 to 18 months through flexible blended learning, combining online learning, workplace practice and dedicated tutor or assessor support. Assessment includes a portfolio of evidence, professional discussions, assignments and workplace observations, with completion time varying depending on experience, working hours and individual circumstances.
