The Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid is for people who work with or look after children and want the knowledge and practical skills to deal with first aid situations. You’ll learn to assess and manage an incident and treat a range of serious conditions in infants and children. Part of the QA First Aid suite, it’s studied through online units and funded for eligible London learners.
You study through online units, completing written work with support and guidance from your tutor throughout. Your tutor is assigned when you enrol and you can reach them by phone, text or email. You’ll get email reminders when units are due, and your work is marked and returned within 7 days with feedback. You’ll also complete a required practical assessment in your workplace to show your skills. Once you’ve finished, we apply for your certificate, which is usually posted to you within 2–4 weeks.
This is a guide to the eligibility criteria for our funded courses. If you are unsure whether you are eligible, please get in touch with our team and we will be happy to help.
