The NCFE CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Adverse Childhood Experiences is designed to develop your knowledge and understanding of adverse childhood experiences and the impact they can have on children, young people and their future outcomes.
The course will help you recognise adverse childhood experiences, understand how childhood and family circumstances can influence development and explore approaches that can be used to prevent and address the impact of ACEs in practice.
This qualification is particularly suitable for those currently working or looking to work with children, young people and families, including roles within early years, education, health and social care, nursing and public services.
Throughout the course, you will develop your knowledge and understanding across three key areas:
The qualification is assessed through a combination of knowledge-based and practical assessment methods, allowing you to demonstrate both your understanding and your ability to apply your learning within the workplace.
Assessment may include written work, professional discussions, workplace evidence, reflective accounts and direct observation of your practice.
A minimum of one direct observation of practice is required as part of the qualification. Your assessor will support you throughout the course to ensure you understand the requirements and have opportunities to demonstrate your skills.
Submit your enquiry form and a member of our team will give you a call to talk you through the course and answer any questions you may have. You will then be sent a Course Registration Form to complete.
Our Enrolment Team will process your application and ask you to complete an application form. Once enrolled, you will be assigned a tutor who will support you throughout your course and can be contacted by phone, text or email.
As you work through your course, you will receive email reminders when your units are due. Your tutor will mark your work and return it to you within 7 days, providing support and feedback throughout your learning.
You will also complete the required practical assessment within your workplace to demonstrate your skills in adult social care.
Once you have successfully completed your course and all required assessments, we will apply for your certificate. Your certificate will then be posted directly to your home address, usually within 2–4 weeks.
