Congratulations to Teona Knight’s for being recognised as our April Learner of the Month! We’ve interviewed Teona and her tutor, Becci, to understand why she is so deserving of this award. Teona is currently doing a Level 3 Teaching Assistant apprenticeship at City Heights. Congratulations, Teona
Here’s what Teona’s tutor Becci had to say about her achievements:
How has the training benefited the learner?
Teona was new to her role when she started the apprenticeship and it has enabled her to learn and understand the processes within education and how the role of the TA supports learning.
Have they overcome a challenge/difficulty within their learning?
Teona has found the functional skills maths element a real struggle but is persevering with this and trying her hardest to complete this element.
How has the training impacted them within the workplace?
Teona has made huge progression within her role at school and taken on a great amount of responsibility in supporting the students.
Have they demonstrated an ability to take feedback and willingness to learn from their mistakes?
Yes definitely! Teona is always willing to reflect and learn and is eager to do her best.
Teona’s comments:
Do you feel that the training has benefited you?
The training has been beneficial through teaching me the theoretical framework of the support strategies that surround my role, as well as a practical application of better working practice for it.
Have you had to overcome any difficulties whilst doing you’re training?
I’ve had to overcome my poor time management and learn how to work towards deadlines while juggling work and other professional responsibilities.
Are there any skills that you have developed during your training that you believe will help you career-wise in the long term?
I’ve developed better communication skills, more leadership experience and problem-solving abilities.
From everyone at Professional Training Solutions, we would like to congratulate Teona on her success – keep up the hard work!
