I have worked in the childcare industry for over 30 years, qualifying with a BTEC National Diploma in Nursery nursing many years ago and have recently finished my BA Hons in teaching and learning. My career has been varied, coming from lunchtime assistant, LSA, TA, childminder, NHS support worker, learning mentor and, for the last 10 years, I have worked in a reception class as an early year’s assistant / unqualified teacher.

I made this leap to pass on the knowledge that I have gained, as I believe that the early years are the foundation of each child’s journey. We get that right and they can succeed in the future.
