Learners who undergo the Level 5 Operation/Departmental apprenticeship will be someone who manages teams/projects and help achieve operational goals within their organisation. Learners will be accountable to a more senior manager or business owner. This apprenticeship is suited for a range of . Responsibilities may vary depending on the organisation, however; knowledge and skills set will stay the same. Learners will be responsible for creating and delivering operational plans, managing projects, leadi and managing teams, financial and resource management, talent management, coaching and mentoring.
This apprenticeship is suitable for a range of roles, including Operations manager, Regional manager, Divisional manager, Department manager and Specialist managers.
Learners without Level 2 English and maths will need to achieve this prior to taking their End Point Assessment.
End Point Assessment
The Level 5 Operations/Departmental Manager consists of multiple discrete assessment methods:
- Knowledge test
- Assessment of portfolio
- Assessment of work-based project
- Professional discussion
The performance of the learners End Point Assessment will determine their overall apprenticeship standard and grade.
On completion, apprentices can register as full members with the Chartered management institute and/or the Institute of leadership and management, and those with 3 years of management experience can apply for Chartered manager status through the CMI.
